How secure is Vartana?

At Vartana, we deeply care about the security and privacy of our users. We are a SOC-I compliant company and have robust compliance processes and controls. We encrypt user data at rest with AES-256 bit keys. We encrypt data during transit using 2048-bit TLS keys.

What is a personal guarantee?

A personal guarantee is a mechanism to corroborate the credit worthiness of a candidate utilizing personal credit history to supplement commercial credit performance.

Is Vartana a factoring company?

No, Vartana is not a factoring company as a factoring company purchases unpaid invoices and pays vendors the full contract value upfront, minus a payment fee. Factoring requires additional personnel or significant time to manage, while we require no additional time expenditure and in some cases can eliminate any need for an individual to manage that workflow.

Is Vartana a broker?

No. Vartana is not a broker. Vartana is an embedded customer financing platform powered by the Vartana Capital Marketplace. The marketplace operates on an intelligent algorithm that matches deals on our platform with the best financing option available from a national network of enrolled lenders.

What payment options does Vartana accept?

Vartana accepts ACH, auto-debit, invoice, check, and net terms–depending on the end customers' credit-worthiness.

Does Vartana accept payment through bill management platforms?

Yes. Buyers may pay through services like Melio, Bill.com and other bill management sites.

How does Vartana affect revenue recognition?

Vartana's funding process allows vendors, manufacturers, and resellers to recognize revenue on their preferred schedule. They can receive upfront cash as deferred revenue, or collect payment over time.

How do I connect Vartana with my CRM?

To connect your CRM, please call 833-931-6651 to speak to sales or please reach out to sales@vartana.com. Our onboarding team can set up a time with you to integrate your CRM with Vartana's Product.

Who can complete an agreement?

We require owners or officers of the company who have the authority to make financial decisions to sign the agreement. If you do not have the authority, you'll be allowed to complete all steps except verification and signature. You can send the application to the appropriate person at that step.

How do resellers get paid by Vartana?

Resellers are paid via same-day ACH to their specified account upon delivery of product or service.

Can I send multiple quotes with Vartana?

Yes. The Vartana Platform allows sales reps to create, download, and share up to 6 purchase order quotes with a buyer in one easy-to-view and select platform.

Do I need to tell my customers that we're using Vartana?

If your customers ask about Vartana, please direct them to our website or have them give us a call so we can discuss how Vartana can help grow their business. Vendors are not responsible for telling the customer what Vartana is, but an explanation of our services can ensure a more efficient checkout process. We are happy to help with this.

What kind of accounts do I need to connect to get started with Vartana?

Simply connect your Bank Account information to begin. We highly recommend connecting Vartana to your CRM to maximize your experience with Vartana.

What is a buyer's credit limit and how do I see it?

This is dependent and specific to the customer. Vartana works with major credit bureaus to determine credit eligibility & limits. Buyers should reach out to their vendor sales rep and ask to review their eligible credit limit which can be found in the Vartana Dashboard.

What happens if a buyer churns? Who is at risk?

Contracts with Vartana are non cancellable. The end customer is responsible for paying the entire schedule of payments according to their signed IPA.

What financial documents are needed from my business?

Your business needs to provide the most recent 2 full years of financial statements, plus partial year statements if your fiscal year ended more than 6 months ago. Preferred sources of this information are IRS Form 1120 (for-profit) or Form 990 (non-profit) with all schedules attached, or a standard auditor's report including annual income statements, ending balance sheets, and auditor's notes. Partial-year statements are not expected to be audited. Other unaudited financial statements are accepted but Vartana may need more detail to support the full request.

How do I update my banking info on file?

Whether you pay through ACH Auto debit or Plaid, to update your banking info, please send a copy of a voided check and the updated banking info (account and routing numbers), along with bank and account name to billing@vartana.com and the team will quickly assist you.

What financial documents are needed from my business?

A customer is required to provide a personal guarantee to secure a commercial loan when their credit history or performance is insufficient.

How do I make payments?

With Vartana, you'll be prompted to connect your bank account or manually enter banking details during the checkout process. Once we have the information, you will be prompted to reach out to the Vartana team to ensure accuracy, then we will auto-debit your account. All banking information is encrypted in compliance with bank-grade standards.In certain circumstances, you may be eligible to pay via invoice. Contact your support@vartana.com for more details.

What information is required for approval?

We require basic demographic information about the business to approve credit. Your vendor will submit your information to us for approval. In rare cases, we may ask you for financial documents to verify the financial health of your business or personal guarantee if the majority ownership is held by a single individual. Your application will never impact your business or personal credit scores.

What are the benefits of identity verification?

Identity verification has multiple benefits to both the signer and the buyer (company). Verifying a signer's identity ensures protection for the company and others against someone opening a loan on the behalf of the buyer without formal approval. Vartana is legally required to confirm the buyer's identity before signing any agreements. The information provided during the verification step is strictly used for compliance and verification and does not affect your application or credit score. You can verify yourself by either providing SSN, State ID, or DOB.

What is Plaid? Is it secure?

Plaid is a third-party service that makes it super simple to connect your bank account for payments. You can read more about Plaid here https://plaid.com/. We recommend connecting your bank account through Plaid to avoid any errors with bank account details.

How do I keep track of payments?

Vartana will auto-debit your account (each month, quarter, etc) and send you an invoice showing all payments and the remaining balance. You can also reach out to your vendor or Vartana at support@vartana.com to receive more details.
